Islam. TOTAL submission, but to who?

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatulahi wa Barakatu,

“And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)”
[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]

“Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by hating it and feeling that it is wrong] – and that is the weakest of faith” (Narrated by Muslim, 49)

Islam.
The one true religion. The total submission and surrender to the ONE TRUE CREATOR, Allah. The Lord of the Universe, The Master of the Day of Judgement, The All Knowing, The All Hearing, The All Seeing.

La ilaha ilAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah. There is NO god worthy of worship except Allah  & Muhammad (sallalahu aleyhi wasselam) is His last and final messenger.

Allahu Akbar.

When one enters into Islam, they surrender all their emotional, lustful, evil desires and in exchange, to submit to their ONE TRUE CREATOR, Allah. When one enters into Islam, they follow the teachings and the correct way of the beloved prophet Muhammad (sallahualeyhi wasselam). They do not have a choice. This is their promise to Allah which they made when they chose to take their Shahadah.

To Proceed,

So why is it that so many Muslims who declare the shahadah , admit that there is no god but Allah, claim they love Allah and His messenger (sallalahu aleyhi wasselam) YET they are 'picker-chooser' Muslims?

Is it in the Qur'an or the Sunnah of our beloved (nabi sallalahu aleyhi wasselam) to pick and choose what we want to practice and leave the other commands that Allah ordered for us? Islam was revealed to us as an ENTIRE, COMPLETE religion. The religion of Islam is perfect. It does not consist of 1/3, 1/4,1/10 of prohibitions and commands from Allah. It completes 100% of His Rules and Commands that are designed for His creation. You do not have the right, nor do you have the CHOICE to pick and choose what YOU want to practice. Islam does not mean you only fast and pray during Ramadan. Islam does not mean that you read Qur'an and memorize it yet you have the WORST manners and etiquettes as possible! Islam does not mean pray 5 times and call it a day. I just wanted to sincerely let you all know, that when a sister approaches you and advises or corrects your faults, please, do yourself a favour for the sake of Allah, and take it as a blessing. It is our DUTY to enjoin the good and forbid the evil, otherwise how will there be any good in the world if nobody advises of the evil and wrongdoings (based upon the Qur'an and Sunnah) of others?
Living in ignorance and arrogance is the easiest way to end up in the Hellfire. It is our job as sisters in Islam to advise one another with sincerity and honesty. If non-Muslims can give each other criticism without any objections, then what is our problem? How can we say "La ilaha illa'Allah Muhammad ar-Rasullulah" yet we won't even suck up our pride and have some humility to let others help us be better Muslimahs? When will the excuses stop?

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“You (true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and his Sunnah) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al‑Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden)”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:110]

“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:104]

There are so many of us out there, who cry and complain why we never find a righteous spouse, or why our marriage ends up in a horrible divorce, or that we never get what we ask for...but we fail to ask ourselves, "what am I DOING that I actually deserve my duaa to be answered by Allah??" Have we even asked ourselves? Do you think submitting 30% to Islam and 70% to your desires earns Allah's pleasure? Ask yourself, do you really deserve whatever it is that you are/have been asking for?
We want a husband who wears a thobe with a big beard, who is a student in Madinah Unversity and a hafidh of Qur'an, yet we can't even leave the house without looking all beautified and alluring. We can't even refrain from sharing our photo's over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram without us posing with wide eyes and pouting our lips. Who exactly are we trying to please? Why are we wasting time listening to love songs and watching irrelevant movies of vampires and wizards and making excuses for ourselves saying it is haram? WHO ARE WE to make things halal and haram upon ourselves? Does this please Allah, The Almighty? Will this earn His Pleasure? Will our duaas be answered when we are being disobedient to Him? No. And where does it say in the Qur'an and Sunnah that adorning oneself in public and online is permissible? Please bring your proof to support your claim.

Allah reminds us about our purpose in life. It is not to adorn ourselves, it is not to worship Him 10%, 25% or 70%, it is not to backbite others and hate upon sisters who try to help us be better Muslims. Allah blessed us with this gift, the gift of guidance. Why should we take take our blessings lightly? Again, Islam means to submit and surrender oneself 100%, whole heartedly, give up all of our desires, and worship our ONE, TRUE, CREATOR. Allah, The Almighty, The Sublime, The King of the heavens and the earth and ALL that is in between. There really is NO excuses to be made about "oh I want to take my time" or "I'm new to Islam, I want to take things slow." Well yes, the revelation took 23 years to be revealed, but what is our excuse really? Everything has been completely revealed for us Alhamdulilah. So what are we waiting for? Remember the verses:

"By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience." ( Al-Asr 103:1-3)

So as you see sisters, we should really not be wasting any more time and making excuses for ourselves, or worse, getting OTHERS to make excuses for us. Allah sent us a gift of guidance, we should be fighting, striving, working as hard as we can to get to know Him as best as we can. The effort that we put into our makeup, or photo-taking, our idle talk with non-mahrams should really be focused on seeking knowledge and learning more about Allah. We should really be remembering Him EVERY second of EVERY day, we should also be working on that spot in Al-Firdaus. We say "I want Jannah, I want Al-Firdaus, I want to be like the mother of the believers, I love Allah, I love the messenger sallalahu aleyhi wasselam.....I'm Salafi this, I'm Salafi that.." but how hard are we TRULY striving ? We dedicate all of our precious time for the WRONG THINGS and the worst thing is, we make excuses for ourselves and we backbite and get defensive when sisters try to advise us and help us!!?

I used to be guilty of this (and still am, but at least I admit it and I am working on it), making excuses for myself not to do this and not to do that, AstughfurAllah, and even to this day I get lazy sometimes and make excuses for myself. So this post is first and foremost a reminder to myself before it seeks as a reminder to anyone else. I ask Allah to continue to keep me steadfast and upright on His deen and may He help me and all my sincere sisters who strive in His way and His way alone, that we all reach Al-Firdaus. Ameen.

May Allah forgive me for anything that I've said that has offended you, anything good I've said is from Allah and anything bad is from my own self and I seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan the accursed. Ameen!

Finally,

Let us reflect upon the following verses from the Qur'an and remind ourselves what exactly is our purpose here on this earth, this short, temporary world that we live in:

“Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?”"So Exalted be Allaah, the True King: Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!”
[al-Mu’minoon 23:115, 116]

“We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play”
[al-Anbiya’ 21:16]

“And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play.
We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not” [al-Dukhaan 44:38-39]

Those who remember Allaah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted are You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:190, 191]
