Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Every morning two angels come down to earth. One of them says, ‘O Allah! Give full recompense to the spender (in good causes).’ The other one says, ‘O Allah! Ruin and destroy the miser.’” [Muslim]Those who spend in the cause of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) remain in His sight and shelter in both the states of plenty and adversity. The angels send blessings on them and wish for increase in their wealth.
As for those who hoard money miserly, the angels pray for their loss and ruin.
Will anyone remain with their wealth or will their wealth remain with them forever? The wealth has come to us from others and will again go to others. The only way you can make it yours forever, is by spending it in the Path of Allah.
Which brings me to my next point,
I have been working closely with my sisters in Kenya for our Pious Muslimah Initiative (a non-profit START UP organization gearing towards giving sadaqah to the needy whilst uniting sisters from all over the world to build on the sisterhood of Islam) We have managed so far to raise $200 from donations and we are trying to raise AT LEAST $1000 before the end of June.
